Full promotional schedule
takes place during racing July 5-7
NICHOLS,
NY – Come
to the races and win a free vacation! That’s the theme at Tioga Downs and
Vernon Downs this weekend during the annual Back to the Track celebration.
Back
to the Track, an industry wide promotional campaign will be celebrated at
Vernon Downs on Friday and Saturday nights during live racing and at Tioga
Downs on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
The
highlight of the weekend at both tracks is the opportunity to win a trip to
both the Little Brown Jug in Delaware, Ohio and the Breeders’ Crown at Mohegan
Sun Pocono Downs, two of the premier events in harness racing.
Other
highlights include a commemorative t-shirt giveaway (while supplies last),
breakfast with the pros, starting gate rides, winner’s circle photos, $1 food
and drink specials and fireworks following live racing.
Fireworks
at Tioga Downs will be on July 4 and at Vernon Downs on July 5.
On
Sunday, there will also be a concert by the Jason Wicks Band, a popular local
country music group, during the races at Tioga Downs.
